We finished up our XD and After Effects portions of the program. Now that we’re done I figured I’d share my thoughts about them.
While Adobe XD was probably not my favorite program that I’ve worked with thus far, it’s not without its charm. I found that I enjoy app design, but I never could have imagined how much work goes into it! I found prototyping to be the most satisfying as it seemed to bring the app to life. After Effects was a lot of fun. While I would never go as far as to call myself an “animator” it definitely awoke something in me that I didn’t realize I loved so much. We only barely scratched the surface on all the capabilities within After Effects and I’m anxious to learn more. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time in the class to work on more projects, and while I have a backlog of passion pieces I’ve started I’ll have to complete them on my own time.
